Albino Black Rat Snake

Elaphe obsoleta obsoleta

A 6 foot plus, heavy bodied ratsnake.  I really like them because they have an attitude.  It almost appears as if they look at you to say, "Where is my rat?"  They aggressively approach, tilt their heads, and closely monitor you.  Most of mine don't actually bite as adults, but watch them.   Some retain the red blotches, some fade to almost an ivory color.  There are at least two allele groups that are incompatible.  When bred you get normal looking double het for both types of albinism.  A normal black ratsnake is blotched as a baby and turns solid color as it gets older.
